beyond lies only beyond

Reflection Preserved in Hubris is a DNA-driven writing and drawing system that merges text, bodily data, and mechanical motion. Generated from the artist’s own biological code, the work translates genetic and physiological signals into scripted movement, producing marks that hover between language, gesture, and residue.

Rather than preserving meaning, the machine exposes its instability. Precision collapses into entropy as inscription dissolves over time, mirroring humanity’s recurring attempt to secure identity and authority through technology. The work frames techno-humanism not as transcendence, but as a fragile, hubristic effort to leave a trace that inevitably fades.
