This period charts my shift from material experimentation to early system-based thinking. Across welded grids, torched aluminum panels, circuit-board surfaces, and melted foam-cup structures, I treated materials as modular units that could behave like information.
Repetition, heat, pressure, and simple rules generated complex surfaces, acting as early analog forms of computation. These works became the bridge from manual pattern-building to the mechanical, generative, and data-driven systems that define my later kinetic and biological installations.
